Carlos "Gallo" Gutierrez Garcia graduated from Visual Communications & Arts at Universidad de la Comunicación in Mexico City, 2016.
He hast two hearts. One is in Mexico, his homeland, and the other is in the USA, where he spent his elementary and middle school years in Dallas, Texas.
He likes to think about himself as everybody's “new friend on the block”.
All his colleagues and fellow producers know that he is a people person. One of the best things about working with him is how he handles the tone of his set.
He believes that anyone working each gig has to be welcomed and taken care of, from the cleaning staff to the most picky client, thus improving the work environment overall and allowing creativity to flow freely.
Being one of the youngest directors in two production companies, Carlos continues maturing and cultivating his taste and skills as he constantly learns from the top directors of Mexico City. These include the owner of “Catatonia”, Hari Sama, and the owner of “Central Films”, Rodrigo García, as well as from a long list of directors and cinematographers.
Carlos is looking to expand the genre of his ads, and help in the opening of new production companies, all the while continuing to grow in all aspects alongside his mentors and friends.
Some of his achievements include:
- Lighting and Camera Course Scholarship Award 2019 by AMC (Asociación Mexicana de Cinematografía)
- Pantalla de Cristal Award 2020
- Best Director - COVID Short Film
